Excecutive Director

Dede de Percin is a forward-thinking nonprofit executive and strategist, with over 18 years of experience in senior management, during which she built several successful nonprofit organizations to effect social change. She is passionate about the independent sector and is dedicated to program development, systems change, sustainability, cross-sector collaboration, and advocacy. Her breadth of experience includes a wide variety of issue areas, as well as experience in both grant-seeking and grant-making.

For seven years, Dede was the Executive Director of the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative. In this role, she participated in numerous health-related boards, including the Consumer Council of the Colorado Department of Insurance, the Health Facility-Acquired Infections Advisory Council, CDPHE’s Interagency Health Disparities Leadership Council, and the founding Board of the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO). Under Ms. de Percin’s leadership, and working in collaboration with CCHI’s 50 organizational members as well as other partners and policymakers, CCHI was instrumental in increasing access to care and coverage in Colorado. Some of these efforts included restructuring the insurance rate review (2008), eliminating gender rating (2010), ensuring fair pricing and treatment of low-income people by hospitals (2012), and ensuring non-discrimination in health care coverage for LGBT people (2013).

Dede graduated from Regis University with a Master’s of Nonprofit Management degree and Cornell University with a B.A. in History of Science. Originally from Washington, DC, she now calls Denver, Colorado home. Her free time is spent engaged in progressive social issues and tutoring through Denver University’s Bridge Project, as well as mountain biking, kayaking, snowboarding, and herding an ever-increasing number of cats.
